Fifth UN Global Road Safety Week 2019
6-12 May 2019

What is Vision Zero?
In February 2019 the United Nations launched the first-ever UN-wide Road Safety Strategy. The strategy is unique because it’s the first time the UN has orchestrated a coordinated approach to road safety. Secretary-General (and former High Commissioner) António Guterres endorsed the strategy last year. In this 3 minute movie UN leaders, including High Commissioner Filippo Grandi, share their thoughts why road safety is important.
